Within the first 20 minutes, this movie has already got you hooked. The tension with the countdown and then it is an adrenaline rush of 20 minutes of non-stop action. John Wick 3 attempts different and creative types of action scenes compared to the second one. Something this entry also does differently is that it leans more on comedy. This is not just in the dialogue but in the action scenes as well. For example, a guy gets constantly hit into every single glass case. The dialogue doesn’t feel very impactful and can be overly silly. John Wick makes an important decision that is undone in literally 10 minutes. It is also very cartoony compared to previous entries. We have characters that can seemingly teleport, full-armoured soldiers that barely flinch being shot at, and a guy that can survive falling from an entire building.
