Guy Ritchie is known for his fast-paced, kinetic style, fun dialogue, over-the-top characters and violence.
The Covenant is none of that. It is the least Guy Ritchie movie he has ever made and it is terrific. It is a suspenseful war thriller with intense action scenes. The subject of Afghanistan military interpreters is taken very seriously and with impressive restraint compared to his usual bombastic style.
The cinematography is great, the score is
terrific in elevating the tension, and everyone gives a great
performance with special mention to Dar Salim as the interpreter. It is
just a very entertaining movie.
